Joe Hewlings (b. 1987) is an architectural and landscape photographer interested in memory and time: how it shapes us, landscape’s ability to bear memory and myth, and how to reveal the invisible.
He was born in London and now lives in Marin County, California. He started making photographs while studying architecture and environmental engineering at the University of the West of England, and makes a living as a building services engineer in Oakland and San Francisco.
